Description

This no-prep resource includes clear and accurate Nervous System diagrams and editable quizzes in both printable black & white and digital color versions.

Whether you teach Anatomy and Physiology or study human body systems in an advanced Biology class, nothing reinforces vital anatomy concepts better than excellent anatomical diagrams!

These coloring and labeling activities allow students to easily visualize the anatomy of human body structures. Physical characteristics of structures and their relationships to one another become more real and easy to understand.

This resource features:

  • high-quality images so students can easily distinguish organs and associated details
  • clear delineation of structures reduces confusion
  • straight non-intersecting label lines add to the clarity of each diagram
  • precision points on each label increase student confidence when identifying parts
  • a variety of formats allow for differentiation and flexibility
  • editable matching quizzes for each diagram provide easy assessment

What Diagrams are Included?

3 Printable Line Diagrams:

  1. Brain, left lateral view
  2. Brain, mid-sagittal view
  3. Neuron

These black and white line drawings come in 4 versions for ultimate flexibility:

Labeled diagrams are great for…

  • initially learning the anatomy.
  • studying when students cover the labels with a piece of paper or fold the labeled portion back to quiz themselves.
  • a differentiation option when students color the already labeled diagram.

Blank diagrams work well when you need…

  • a more challenging option for students to color and label.
  • to add a word bank for specific structures you want your students to know.
  • an opportunity for students to follow best practices for labeling anatomical drawings.

Lined diagrams offer an option for simpler, more precise labeling and coloring.

Lettered diagrams are the ones I used on the included quizzes, but you can also use them for reviewing and creating other quiz options.

To use the print diagrams, just…

  • Grab some colored pencils.
  • Select the drawing you want to use: blank, labeled, lined, or lettered.
  • Print and go!

3 Digital Color Diagrams:

  1. Brain, left lateral view
  2. Brain, mid-sagittal view
  3. Neuron

Digital color diagrams feature drag & drop text boxes that students use to label key structures on beautiful color diagrams. These are a must for differentiation, students with special needs, distance learning, 1:1 classrooms, make-up work, or to save time since no coloring is required.

To use the digital diagrams, just…

Share the Google SlidesTM link (in the Read First document) with your students and let them go!

Are Quizzes Included?

Yes! A matching quiz for each print and digital diagram is included with answer keys. These quizzes are editable so you can make necessary changes for your students.

The printable quizzes are included in two versions to help students stay honest. Alternate versions A and B as you hand them out so students sitting next to each other have different quizzes. This will help them focus on their own paper.

The digital quizzes are in self-grading Google Forms™.

Is this resource editable?

The diagrams are NOT editable, but some features can be changed. Here are some ideas…

  • Add a word bank to the blank diagrams so you can choose the structures you want your students to know.
  • The drag and drop labels on the digital diagrams can be changed, deleted, or new ones can be added.
  • All the quizzes are fully editable!
